New Features Added to PlatinumPlanner.com!

This article was published in our October 2014 Special Edition Newsletter, by Doug Smith, CEO

We thought this would be a great time to let you know about some of the new features available in PlatinumPlanner.com. Many of you have requested these new features, and we thank you for your feedback on making PlatinumPlanner.com even better!

Student Documentation Submission Timeframe
As a school administrator, when you create or edit a course you can now indicate how many hours after completing a clinical the student has to submit the associated paperwork. The default value is 0, if you change it to 1, it will give the student 1 hour to complete the paperwork, etc. If you do not change this value, the feature is not active. When you activate this feature, the student will receive an email notifying them of past due documentation as well as a notification of what documents are due in the next 24 hours. All documentation submitted by students will receive a date and time stamp when submitted which will be saved with their documentation. As a teacher you will see the date the documentation was submitted. If the feature is active, the date will display a color code to indicate if the documentation is late or not. The teacher can then choose to accept the documentation or not.

Dashboard Notifications
Another feature that will be published this weekend is a notification occurring when you log on to see any outstanding activities you may have, For example, as a school administrator, you may log on and see that there are 7 students waiting course approval, 17 class requests awaiting approval and 3 preceptors to verify. As an instructor, you may log on and see in your task list that there are 5 labs to review and 6 clinical documents to review. Each level will have pertinent reminders and when you select these reminders you will be taken right to the page where these tasks can be completed.

We are very excited about these new features and other activities that our development team are working on. Feel free to experiment or contact us and we will be happy to show you these new features!

Thank you,
Doug Smith
