Platinum has been committed to empowering students pursuing careers in EMS, Nursing, and Allied Health since its founding. The Platinum Scholarship Program made its debut in 2015 with an EMS-focused program with EMSTesting before expanding its scope in 2016 to include scholarships for Nursing and Allied Health students through the use of Platinum Tests and Platinum Planner tools.

As a testament to our founders Doug Smith and Tom Gottschalk, we added The Smith and Gottschalk Awards in 2024, further solidifying our dedication to supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Why the Change?
This terminology modification ensures Platinum Educational Group language aligns more closely with how users engage with our platform. The term “Cohort” better reflects the collaborative and structured nature of learning groups, providing clarity and consistency across the system.

What to Expect
In the future, you will see this terminology update throughout the software. While this is a wording change, all core functionalities remain the same—your workflows and processes will not be disrupted. This will simply be enhancing the user experience.
