PLATINUM PROGRAM
EMSTESTING
EMSTesting is a cutting-edge, web-based platform engineered to support EMS students as they prepare for certification or licensure exams. This innovative solution provides the tools and resources needed to help students succeed in their academic and professional pursuits. Learn more about EMSTesting below!
We developed questions directly from the National Registry Practice Analysis, Educational Standards, and the appropriate curricular objectives from the NHTSA Guidelines. Educators, content experts, and our medical director develop and review all questions. Questions are coded to Bloom levels and reading levels. Instructors develop examinations based on the criteria they have chosen. Included within our program is a Medical Director role to log in and evaluate any or all examinations created, whether summative or formative. Platinum Educational Group’s Final Comprehensive Exams are blueprinted to mid and higher-level Bloom questions, and each subtest is weighted to follow the National Registry blueprint.
PLATINUM'S ADAPTIVE TESTING
Platinum is committed to providing a testing experience that simulates the real-world scenario of taking EMS licensure exams. Our adaptive testing program is designed to respond to your performance, adjusting the difficulty level of subsequent questions based on your previous responses.
How Adaptive Testing works
-
Questions are selected based on your previous response, ensuring a tailored assessment that challenges you at an optimal level.
-
You have the option to take a timed or untimed test, allowing you to simulate the real exam experience or work at your own pace.
-
Detailed test reports provide insights into your strengths and weaknesses by content area, as well as your percentile ranking compared to all other test takers.
Adaptive Testing Quality Control
Our vast question bank of over 7,000 questions is reviewed monthly for accuracy and statistics by our Education team. This ensures that you're presented with the most relevant and up-to-date information to help you prepare for your exam.
Why Adaptive Testing?
Adaptive testing provides a more accurate assessment of your abilities by continuously challenging you and adapting to your performance. It's designed to be more difficult at times, mimicking the real licensure experience. By taking an adaptive test, you'll be better prepared for the actual exam and gain a deeper understanding of your strengths and weaknesses.
Getting the Most Out of Platinum's Computer Adaptive Testing Experience
Provide Progressive Testing
Implement a progressive testing model by delivering computer-based tests that build upon previous knowledge and test it until mastery. Repeat popularly missed items on quizzes and move up the ladder of Bloom's taxonomy.

Prepare Students
Do not deploy CAT prematurely in our opinion. Students should be comfortable and capable with CBTs before unlocking CAT. This ensures they're prepared for the adaptive experience and won't become discouraged.

Offer Unique Questions
Our questions are unique to our website, drawn from multiple sources and deep depth of knowledge from experienced healthcare professionals. They challenge critical thinking skills beyond manuals.

Coach Students
Coach students on what CAT is designed to do: identify strengths and weaknesses, not replace a teacher's judgment. Remind them that "Good" indicators are sometimes acceptable, as we require three standards to be met before publishing an "Exceptional" score.
PLATINUM GROUP TESTING
Make Learning Fun with Group Testing
You've heard it before: emotions play a crucial role in learning. To help students retain information, we incorporate activities like games into our teaching approach. But setting up these games can be labor-intensive.
That's where Group Testing, an online quizzing platform, comes in. It's designed to make learning fun and engaging, while doing the bulk of the work for you!
How Group Testing works
As an instructor, you select the topic material and number of questions. The system generates a quiz, delivers it to your class, and reads the questions aloud. Students interact with the game using their devices, earning points for correct answers. Scores are tracked on a leaderboard.
Practical Applications in the Classroom
-
Ice Breaker/Knowledge Check: Use Group Testing as a quick review of new material or to identify areas of weakness.
-
Module Review: Set up a quiz covering recently completed material and have students compete individually or in teams.
-
Just for Fun: Use Group Testing for a general review, or even as attendance check!
Get creative, evoke emotions, and make memories with your students while they learn!
